The Neat Single Bed takes any standard Australian single mattress (92 × 188 cm). For a kids' bed we recommend a mattress between 14 cm and 20 cm thick - thinner mattresses (under 14 cm) can feel firm on a slatted base; mattresses thicker than 20 cm sit too high on a low-line bed.
