A.H. Beard Designer Base

The A.H. Beard Designer Base is the matching mattress foundation engineered to ensemble with any A.H. Beard mattress - King Koil, Domino, Yinahla, or A.H. Beard branded ranges. Australian-made, fabric-finished, and available in three profile heights and a wide range of finishes including drawer-storage options. The right base does more than hold your mattress up - it preserves your mattress warranty, completes the look of the bed, and (depending on profile) can dramatically affect the bed's overall height and feel.

Choose your profile

• 28cm Designer Base - slightly taller profile for a more substantial ensemble feel and easier getting in/out of bed (good for taller sleepers or anyone with mobility considerations).
• 15cm Low Profile Base - the lowest profile option. Best for very thick mattresses where you don't want the total bed height to be too tall, or for bedroom styles that suit a lower silhouette. These are currently available in-store.

The Designer Base is available in a selection of fabric finishes to coordinate with any bedroom palette:

Optional drawer storage

Designer Base options include configurations with built-in drawers for under-bed storage. Drawer configurations vary by size (King, Queen, Double, etc.). Particularly useful in smaller bedrooms or where you want to maximise usable space without adding a separate ottoman or storage solution.

Why the right base matters

Most premium mattress warranties - including all A.H. Beard 10-year guarantees - are conditional on the mattress being supported by an appropriate base. An unsuitable base (slats too widely spaced, sagging foundation, wrong dimensions) can void warranty cover and significantly reduce mattress lifespan. The A.H. Beard Designer Base is specifically engineered for A.H. Beard mattresses - it preserves the warranty and gives the mattress the structural support it was designed to sit on.
